Bonfire & Fireworks
The bonfire lighting ceremony begins in the lower field at 6.30pm. You are welcome to arrive early to listen to the singing groups and view the arrival of the fire torch procession, which leaves the Manor Inn at 5.40pm. You can join the procession from The Manor or on route. Wax fire torches are available to purchase for £3.
The entertainment follows on to include a Pyrotechnic Light Display, starting at 7.30pm.The cost of the tickets reflect the charge for hiring ‘Celebration Pyrotechnics’ of Bodmin and for preparing the large bonfire. Car parking is available on site with access via the main entrance.
You are welcome to bring your own picnic and beer or wine if desired. Small folding chairs are recommended and dogs allowed. Fish & chips, jacket potato’s, a licensed bar and tea & coffee are also available on site. The theme again this year will be Viking Norse Mythology, giant fire god Jo’tnar and we will also be celebrating the gunpowder plot of 1605 by burning an effigy of Guy Fawkes. Wizards and Witches out trick or treating, celebrating a late Halloween are also welcome!
Musical entertainment on our flood lit and PA equipt stage is provided by The SeaGalls, One Accord, Quay Harmony, Dartington Morris Men, and Missin' Tackle. The evening will finish at 9.05pm with the firework finale, with the fire extinguished by a privately owned fire engine. For a further write up on the event visit English Riviera Magazine.
Friday 2nd November is a reserve night, available in case torrential rain is forecast on Thursday and the event is postponed 24hrs.
