A chartered trip with the enthusiasts of Dartmouth Steam Railway, in support of Rowcroft Hospice.

The trip begins at Paignton Station departing at 6.30pm. You are welcome to arrive from 5.00pm to be entertained by vocal group The SeaGalls, and with the sound of the Salvation Army Band. The cafe will be open.

The ticket prices reflect the cost of hiring the train and running the event. You are welcome to bring your own picnics and beer or wine if desired. Small folding chairs for the service are recommended and dogs are welcome.

The trip takes you via Churston Station at 7.00pm, with passenger carol singing on the platform from 6.30pm before the train arrival. On Kingswear platform there will be a carol service with Missin’ Tackle, One Accord and The SeaGalls will perform alongside the Salvation Army Band.

The Train Company have agreed to ‘meander along’ in order that we savour the journey and enjoy the wonderful views and Christmas lights across the river from Kingswear to Dartmouth. We expect to arrive back at Paignton for 9.30pm.

If preferred you will also be able to join at Churston (same price) and disembark on the return journey. The Railway Inn (opposite) have kindly permitted use of their car park and there will be further carol singing in The Railway Inn from 9.25pm for those getting off at Churston. Family tickets are not available on the night. Please note there is no entry or exit from Kingswear Station. The train will be reversed into Kingswear Station then passengers will disembark.
